1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and PerfectDay Technologies Ltd (“Hubbly”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a company registered in England & Wales (company number 16952922), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
They govern your use of the Hubbly mobile app and the website at gethubbly.app. By downloading, installing or using Hubbly, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Hubbly.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 years of age or older to create a Hubbly account and set up a family. By doing so, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Children can absolutely use Hubbly, that is the whole point of a family organiser, but only as part of a family that an adult has set up and manages. Children do not create their own accounts and do not log in. The parent or guardian who creates the family is responsible for who participates in it.
3. Account registration & security
Hubbly uses anonymous accounts: no email address or password is required. When you enable multi-device sync, your device is signed in anonymously and your family is identified by a family code. You can optionally link a Google or Apple sign-in to your family as a recovery safety net; the linked email address is stored with your family and used only to restore access if every device is lost.
You are responsible for:
- keeping your 6-digit family join code private, since anyone with it can join your family and see your family’s data;
- keeping your 4-digit Settings PIN to yourself; and
- the security of the devices on which Hubbly is installed.
If you believe your family code has been shared with someone it should not have, set up a new family or remove devices you no longer recognise, and contact us if you need help.
4. Family accounts & member roles
Hubbly is organised around a single family: a shared space containing your routines, calendar, meals, lists, trips, notes and more. A family can have any number of members, and members can be marked as parents, children or pets. A family supports a limited number of joined devices (currently 5); you can remove a device you no longer use in Settings to free a slot for a new one.
The adult who creates the family is the account holder and is responsible for that family: for the content within it, for the members added to it, for the devices that are allowed to join, and for supervising children’s use of the app. Member “roles” within Hubbly are organisational labels for your household and are not separate logins.
5. Pricing, the free trial & the subscription
Hubbly is an auto-renewing subscription, available as a monthly plan or an annual plan, purchased through the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. One subscription covers your whole household and its joined devices.
- Free trial. When you download Hubbly, the full app is free to use for 30 days, with every feature unlocked. The trial is managed by the app rather than by your app store, and no payment details are required to begin it. Certain in-app activities (for example inviting another household or connecting a calendar) can extend the trial by a number of days; the current offers and amounts are shown in the app and may change over time. If you reach the end of the trial and decide not to subscribe, you will not be charged.
- The subscription. To keep using Hubbly after the trial, you take out a monthly or annual subscription. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and continues to renew until you cancel it.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your app store’s subscriptions page (Google Play or the App Store). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not billed again after that.
The subscription is purchased and processed through the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store using the payment method on your store account. We do not see or store your card details; the app store handles all payments. The price is always shown in the store before you confirm, and prices may vary by country and currency.
When access ends (your trial ends without a subscription, or your subscription lapses), your family’s synced data is kept for 30 days in case you return, and is then permanently deleted. You can also choose to delete it immediately in the app (see section 15 and our Privacy Policy).
We may change subscription prices from time to time. Any change to the price of an existing subscription is handled through your app store, which will notify you in accordance with its rules before a changed price takes effect, and you can cancel before it does.
6. Refunds
Because purchases are processed by the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, refunds are handled under their refund policies, and refund requests should be made to the relevant store.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you keep the rights given to you by consumer protection law, and we will honour any refund we are legally required to provide.
7. Optional one-time packs
The subscription includes every family feature. Separately, we offer optional one-time packs: cosmetic and content extras such as looks and themes for the app, quote packs, sound packs, sticker packs and seasonal looks.
- Packs are one-off purchases made through your app store. They are not subscriptions and nothing about them renews.
- A pack unlocks for your whole household, for as long as the Hubbly service continues to exist and be operated by us.
- No pack is ever required to use any family feature, and no pack unlocks functionality that is otherwise part of the subscription.
- An everything bundle is available that covers all packs, present and future. The bundle can be gifted to another household using a gift code; a gift code can be redeemed once, by one household.
- All purchases in the app sit behind the grown-up Settings PIN.
- Packs are non-refundable, except as provided by your app store’s refund policy and your statutory rights (see section 6).
- If we ever discontinue Hubbly, we will give you reasonable advance notice and a way to take a copy of your family’s data before the service ends.
8. Acceptable use & prohibited activities
Hubbly is for organising your own family life. You agree not to:
- use Hubbly for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of any applicable law;
- use Hubbly to store, share or do anything harmful, abusive, harassing or that infringes someone else’s rights;
- copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except to the limited extent the law expressly permits;
- disrupt, overload, attack or interfere with Hubbly, our systems or our providers, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to another family’s data;
- circumvent or tamper with security features, including the Settings PIN, family codes or sync security rules; or
- resell, sublicense or commercially exploit Hubbly without our written permission.
We may suspend or end your access to Hubbly if you breach this section.
9. User content
Your family’s content (your lists, notes, photos, events, trips and everything else you put into Hubbly) belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of it.
To run the service for you, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit, resize and display your content solely for the purpose of operating Hubbly for you and your family (for example, syncing it between your devices). This licence exists only so the app can work; it ends when you delete the content or your family.
You are responsible for the content you and your family members enter, for having the right to use it, and for making sure it is appropriate. If you ever want a copy of your content, contact us and we will provide it in a portable format (see our Privacy Policy).
10. Intellectual property
Hubbly, including the Hubbly name, logo, brand, app and website, and all related software, design and text, is owned by PerfectDay Technologies Ltd or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the Hubbly app on devices you own or control, for your family’s personal, non-commercial use, in line with these Terms. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
11. Third-party services & content
Hubbly relies on third-party services, including Firebase / Google (sign-in, sync and storage), the Google Calendar API and Microsoft Graph API (when you connect a Google or Outlook calendar), RevenueCat (subscription and purchase verification), Open-Meteo (weather data), Sentry and PostHog (diagnostics and analytics), and the Google Play and Apple App Store platforms. Your use of those underlying platforms is also subject to their terms and policies.
We are not responsible for third-party services, for content you reach through links you add (such as wishlist links or imported calendars), or for outages, errors or changes outside our control. Weather information is provided “as is” by Open-Meteo and should not be relied on for safety-critical decisions.
If you connect an external calendar, such as Google Calendar or Outlook, Hubbly reads it using the read-only permission you grant and shows its events on your family calendar. You can remove a connected calendar at any time, and you can withdraw Hubbly’s access from your calendar provider’s own account settings. How Hubbly handles connected-calendar data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
12. Disclaimers & “as is”
Hubbly is provided “as is” and “as available”. While we work hard to make it reliable, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet every requirement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.
Hubbly is a family organiser, not a medical device. The medication features (medication names, doses, schedules, last-dose logs and reminders) are convenience reminders only. They are not medical advice, are not a substitute for professional healthcare, and must not be relied upon for medical decisions. Reminders depend on your device and its settings and may not always fire. Always follow the advice of a qualified healthcare professional and the instructions that come with any medication.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PerfectDay Technologies Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, loss of profit, or loss arising from your inability to use Hubbly, that was not reasonably foreseeable.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. In particular, we do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. If you are a consumer, this section does not affect your statutory rights.
14. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless PerfectDay Technologies Ltd and its officers, employees and partners from any claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable costs arising out of your misuse of Hubbly, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or of someone else’s rights.
15. Termination
You can end this agreement at any time by cancelling your subscription from your app store’s subscriptions page, leaving your family, and deleting the Hubbly app and your family data. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for, after which your family’s synced data is kept for 30 days and then permanently deleted (or you can delete it immediately in the app).
We may suspend or terminate your access to Hubbly if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. Where we reasonably can, we will give you notice.
On termination, your right to use Hubbly ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification and governing law) continue to apply. Deleting a family permanently removes its synced data, so if you want to keep a copy, request one from us first (see our Privacy Policy).
16. Governing law
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England & Wales. If you are a consumer resident in another country, you also keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of the law of the country where you live.
17. Dispute resolution
If you have a problem, please contact us first at contact@gethubbly.app; most issues can be resolved quickly and informally, and we genuinely want to help.
If a dispute cannot be resolved that way, you and we agree to submit to the courts of England & Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live, and you keep any mandatory protections available to you under your local law.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example as Hubbly’s features or our legal obligations change. When we make changes, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will give you clearer notice, such as a message in the app. Your continued use of Hubbly after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to a change, you should stop using Hubbly.
19. Severability, entire agreement & contact
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in full force, and the invalid part will be applied as closely as possible to its original intent.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, make up the entire agreement between you and us regarding Hubbly, and replace any earlier agreements on the same subject. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
