1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are (and are not) used on the Hubbly website at gethubbly.app, operated by PerfectDay Technologies Ltd.
It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how the Hubbly app handles your family’s data more broadly.
2. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website can store on your device when you visit. Cookies are often used to remember preferences, keep you signed in, or, most commonly, to track visitors across websites for analytics and advertising.
“Similar technologies” includes things like local storage, pixels and tracking scripts that do a comparable job. Cookies and these technologies are broadly grouped into:
- Strictly necessary: needed for the website to load and work, and to keep it secure.
- Non-essential: everything else, such as analytics, personalisation and advertising cookies. These normally require your consent.
3. Cookies on the Hubbly website (gethubbly.app)
The Hubbly marketing website is a simple, static informational site. We have deliberately built it to be privacy-friendly:
- it uses no analytics or tracking of any kind: no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no behavioural tracking;
- it sets no non-essential cookies;
- it does not build a profile of you or follow you around the web; and
- there is therefore no cookie consent banner, because there is nothing non-essential to consent to.
The only technology that may be involved is whatever is strictly necessary for our hosting provider to deliver the site securely and reliably to your browser. This does not identify you and is not used to track you.
4. Cookie table
For full transparency, here is what the website may use. In practice the static site sets essentially nothing of its own.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Host security/delivery token | Website hosting provider | Strictly necessary technology used by our host to serve the site securely and balance traffic. Does not identify or track you. | Strictly necessary | Session, or as set by the host |
If this ever changes, we will update the table above and this policy.
5. Analytics in the Hubbly app
It is worth being clear about the difference between the website and the app:
- The website (gethubbly.app) uses no analytics and no tracking, as described above.
- The Hubbly app does use two services to help us keep it working well: Sentry for crash and error diagnostics, and PostHog for product analytics (understanding which features are used). These operate inside the app: they are not website cookies, and they are not used for advertising. PostHog is configured to avoid collecting personal information that identifies your family members.
How the app handles data, including these two services, is explained in full in our Privacy Policy.
6. Managing cookies
Even though this website does not set non-essential cookies, you are always in control of cookies in general. Most browsers let you:
- view the cookies stored on your device;
- block or delete cookies, including those from specific sites; and
- block third-party or cross-site tracking entirely.
Look in your browser’s settings under “Privacy” or “Cookies”, for example in Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge. Blocking cookies will not break the Hubbly website, because it does not rely on non-essential cookies to work.
7. Changes & contact
We may update this Cookie Policy if our website changes, for example if we ever add a feature that needs a cookie. Any update will be reflected here, with a revised “last updated” date at the top of the page.
